Umbrella Group

We have drawn together a team of people from the wider church to act as an Advisory Team for The Kru. They have a brief to do with support, encouragement, guidance and acountability. As The Kru has developed and grown we have felt that there needs to be some kind of group to share the oversight of the ministry.

The KRU – Umbrella Group

Terms of Reference

 Purpose & Aims of the Group

To Support, Encourage and Pray for The KRU

and act as a body for

Accountability and Guidance for The KRU worship band and its members.

Composition

1 – 2 members of The KRU band.

3 – 4 non-band members.

(The max. number of The Group thereby being 6)

Minimum for a Quorum: 1 band member and 2 other non-band members.

Procedures

To enable the ‘Purpose and Aims’ to be undertaken the Group will;

Monitor The KRU’s activities

and

Satisfy themselves that they are in agreement with the aims and core values of The KRU, which are to be agreed between The KRU and the Umbrella Group.

The Group should endeavour to satisfy itself as to the well being of the individuals of The KRU and the demands being made of them in respect of time away from family and their own ‘home’ Churches.

Monitor the material being used by The KRU in worship.

The audited accounts relating to The KRU’s activities must be submitted to the group for inspection yearly.

The group should satisfy itself that each band member has ‘one to one’ prayer support and the group will act as an overseeing body supporting the spiritual needs of The KRU.

Frequency of meetings

The minimum should be two a year, but can be held more frequently if required.

There should also be informal regular contact between the group’s members.
